Kuwait & Dubai 5th - 14th May 2006

Sight seeing at Kuwait Tower. Designed by Swedish Company, executed by Yugoslav Company. It's 187 meter above sea levels. They even have training rooms for booking too.

View from the Tower. Pictures are not too attractive as the window were dusty.
Went to Scientific Centre for a quick visit. It is a huge Complex built right on the waterfront at Salmiya. Entertainment includes: an Aquarium, an IMAX 3D cinema, the Dhow Harbor, Discovery Place and the Salmiyyah Fishing Piers.
Buildings around Scientific Center. Kuwait number plate 6 digits as compare to 5 digits in Dubai. Wonder how they memorize all their friend's number plate.
The Pakistani Taxi driver brought us to this Indian Restaurant for dinner. "Munghal Mahal". No doubt it is quite 'Mahal'. (Mahal in Malay means expensive.)
This is where we stay. Kuwait Continental Hotel.
Next day we continue our city tour. We went to Museum but unfortunately it was a Friday. Friday is considered off day in most, in fact, all of the Middle East Countries.
The people there were kind enough to let us in for a short visit.
For lunch, the taxi driver brought us to Kuwait Yacht Club. Most of the food there are grilled and for 10 days trip, you will seriously miss Chinese or should I say, Malaysian food.
Kuwait Gold Souq. Souq means market. I don't seriously know how to appreciate the gold they sell there. Some how it just look very different.
The highlight was, we actually saw a Proton Wira there. Feeling excited, we ran very fast towards the car and quickly snap a picture.
My boss couldn't stand few just 2 days of grilled food and requested the taxi driver to bring us to a Chinese Restaurant. I'm amazed with the design. Owner is from China and they have been in Kuwait for years. Even it is a Chinese restaurant, the food are pork-free. ( 'Halal')
Kuwait Times.
After 2 days of sight seeing and city tour, it's time to work. It's fun and good exposure to meet lots of people from different country.

9th May, we packed and flew back to Dubai for the next exhibition.
It's not easy to take a picture of the Palm. It was still under construction at that time. We went to Hartoob Hotel, walked around and we found out there is a Restaurant on the top floor. That gives a good view of the Palm.
Madinat Jumeirah
Burj Al-Arab 5 star hotel, an iconic structure with the shape like a sail ship.
Again we attend few days of exhibition.
Exhibitors party. Free flow food, salmon, beer, wine & liquor all night long.
